The Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning executive producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brenan, makers of Glee and American Horror Story respectively, join forces for Fox new horror-comedy anthology series Scream Queens which premieres on September 22.
Scream Queens sets on Wallace University where Kappa Kappa Tau Sorority House is dying for new pledges according to the official synopsis released by Fox as reported by Design n Trend. The said all elite sorority is being ruled by Queen Bitch, Chanel Oberlin (being portrayed by actress Emma Roberts from American Horror Story) and is being opposed by Dean Cathy Munsch (being portrayed by actress Jamie Lee Curtis from Freaky Friday) who insists of opening the sorority to all students.
As Kappa Kappa Tau struggles to get its new pledges plus the intervention of Dean Cathy, a series of killings threatens everyone in Wallace University. Each episode means adding a name to the list of people being brutally killed. As each episode progresses, a character dies and the circle of suspects grows smaller and smaller and so with the survivors'
Aside from its plot in an unconventional genre of horror-comedy, the audience has to watch out for the power cast of Scream Queens. Fashion n Style gives us a rundown of the cast but the lead is taken by Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis and is powered by the popularity of Ariana Grande.
There are male stars joining this female dominated series too, Diego Boneta as Pete, Oliver Hudson as Wes Gardner, Glen Powell as Chad Radwell, Nick Jonas as Boone and Lucien Laviscount as Earl Grey.
Scream Queens breaks through genres as Fox partners Murphy, Falchuk and Brenan to make a horror-comedy out from the best talents on both fields. Scream Queens airs on September 22 with a two-hour premiere.
