With LG Nexus 5 coming out in the next couple of months, it is inevitable, somehow, for leaked images and information to pour out some details of the next Google and LG flagship device.
According to Forbes, the about to be released phone will be equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor which adds to the device's security. The fingerprint sensor was previously reported to be Android M's newest security feature which will not only protect the phone itself but the owner as well if they intend to take advantage of the phone's pre-installed Google Pay.
Aside from the fingerprint sensor, Daily Mail also cited that the Nexus 5 will also have a 5.2 inch screen and additional features (aside from Google Pay) such as a new smart assistant which will make the device smarter than its predecessor. The assistant is Google's answer to Apple's Siri, just in case.
According to the report, the assistant can and may answer questions depending on what the user is doing. On top of the additional and new features of the Android M, it is also reported to crush tons of bugs and fixes on glitches, the report added.
In related news, Google will also release a slightly larger Nexus which will be manufactured by Huawei which will be launched shortly after the release of the LG Nexus 5, Pocket Lint published. The larger Nexus will also have all the great features and specs of the LG Nexus.
Pocket Lint also mentioned that the back fingerprint sensor will be utilized for Google's drive for more contactless payments on top of the Google Pay. The two Nexus' will also have the USB C Type which will serve as the phone's charging and data porting.
LG is no stranger to Google as the two giants have partnered in 2013 for that year's Nexus 5. The smartphone was sold from 2013 until Google decided to focus more on the Nexus 6 which was then built by Motorola.
LG Nexus 5 rear fingerprint scan only proves Google's commitment in providing innovation and convenience to their target market. In addition, with this technological advancement, it seems that Google will give Apple and Samsung a good fight in the next couple of months.
