As Creative Assembly gladly announced that the game is being worked on, the question remains as to what orientation the game will be more on, and they explained further what exactly fans are to expect.

Andy Hall, Lead Writer, said in an interview reported by Game Reactor thatt the game will initially by a Total War game, but will have hints and bits of Warhammer atop. Apart from that, the addition of the status bar will come in handy according to hall, as it was fairly difficult to tell what the current condition of a Roman legionnaire will be.

PC Gamer reported a few interesting points for gamers to be aware of. Hall was quoted; "But we're not literally taking stats, weapons skill, ballistic skill and so on into the game; we're using parameters and the paradigm that already exists in Total War, while using the stats that Warhammer gives us and letting that influence everything in the background."

Furthermore, Hall explained the technology that the game is on, as well as the way that the new units designated for Warhammer are being handled. According to Arstechnica, the game is still considerably a Total War game entirely. Hall said that the game is using the Total War engine, primarily owned by Creative Assembly, wherein they are taking the said development to the limit and has gone productively so far.

Initially, Total War: Warhammer will be launched in three different parts. That being said, fans are to expect more news, more updates and more war from the upcoming installment. The fantasy war game is bound to join the legendary expansions that came before it, and until further notice, fans are to wait as to when it will be finalized.
