Like Google, Korean-based electronics manufacturer Samsung has never been busy in updating the company's series of mobile devices for the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. So far, the company has confirmed the updates for Galaxy S5, S6, S6 Edge and Note 4.
Together with their partner carriers, Samsung has so far have updated their Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The partner carriers that have confirmed the update were Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T, Gospel Herald reported.
In terms of the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, Sprint already rolled out the update for the devices. In addition to that, a report by IB Times also mentioned that a Canadian operator will roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for the Galaxy Note Edge within August.
Despite that it's just T-Mobile who has confirmed the update for now, other carriers have already released statements that they will be rolling out the update for their subscribers who are using the Samsung Galaxy S5 device.

According to the technical website, the most exciting and important feature that the update will bring to the Galaxy S6 is the Stagefright patch, which will allegedly make the device secured against the threat.
Aside from the virus patch, other enhancements that the update will bring to the samsung devices are Advanced Calling, several key bug fixes, an option to turn off wallpaper motion effects, and tweaks on the phablet's critically acclaimed camera application.
Before the update, the operating system was plagued by tons of issues and the most notorious of them all was the battery life issue that has brought tons of complaints about the Samsung devices.
The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5, S6, S6 Edge and Note 4 may not be an absolute remedy for the issues that the devices will encounter but the update will bring tons of improvement for the device and satisfaction to its users.
