It's male vs. male in the Twitter verse as Zayn Malik and Calvin Harris goes on a Twitter word war. Harris defended his girlfriend Taylor Swift against the One Direction ex-member but praised and wished him the best of luck.
The feud started after Zayn Malik retweeted on Monday a post comparing Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus with their pictures included. It suggested that fans of Taylor Swift can still listen to her songs but have to pay before downloading them on iTunes after the singer pulled out from Spotify. Miley Cyrus on the other hand was quoted as saying that she does not mind if people don't buy her album since she got a house and a dog and does not need anything more.
Calvin Harris meanwhile posted on Twitter the following:
"If you don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry..stay out my f_____ mention pls..While you kids are refresh voting teen choice awards there's some poor f____ in a basement making your new favourite record trying to survive..Meaning..stay out of things you don't understand."
Zayn Malik replied by saying, "ha you just had an absolute fool of yourself mate.." claiming that Harris did not understand what he said. "..so I suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out..Oh and I write my own s___ too d_______", he added.
Harris responded by saying he was pertaining to the quote and not directly to Malik. The DJ and movie producer played sport with Malik's tweets and even praised his voice. Harris also wished him the best which ended their conversation.
Taylor Swift meanwhile did not directly react to the exchange of tweets but retweeted some posts of fans who defended her. According to Radio, here is one of the posts the singer retweeted:
"ALSO can I just say that @taylorswift13 is a brilliant woman who defended the 99% of us who make NO money from streaming".
No other Twitter word war has ensued between Calvin Harris and Zayn Malik after the former's last tweet. Miley Cyrus neither responded on the issue.
