Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale will do anything for the sake of their children. The then-couple was seen together for the first time after their divorce announcement two weeks ago. They were joined by their two eldest sons in Balboa Fun Zone in Newport Beach, California for a family day trip on Sunday.
Zuma, 6, and Kingston, 9, enjoyed the attractions at the beachside amusement park. Stefani and Rossdale won't let the moments slip away as they were seen taking photos from their iPhones. It is not clear whether their youngest son, 17- month-old Apollo, was also at the family affair, according to UsWeekly.
The "No Doubt" singer, 45, and the Bush frontman, 49, went on public to proclaim their divorce on their 13-years of marriage on August 3.
"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
The main reason for Stefani and Rossdale's divorce remain unclear, but rumors have it that the "Be Still My Love" singer was cheating on her ex-wife, according to Stuff.co.nz.
"They are barely on speaking terms after a string of cheating allegations against Gavin. In the end it's not so much about whether they're true or not. The sheer pressure takes its toll and Gwen reached the point where she didn't want to take it anymore," a source said.
According to some insiders, Stefani and Rossdale faced a string of problems since they got married. There were controversies that he fathered a child from Pearl Lowe in the early 1980s. He was also dragged into infidelity issues when it came out that Gavin had an affair with male singer Marilyn in 1995.
At this point of their relationship, it appears that their utmost priority are their children. They wanted to provide them safe and secure home despite on what's happening in the family, New York Daily News reports.
Stefani and Rossdale met in 1995 and tied the knot in 2002. The "Wind It Up" vocalist filed divorce in L.A. in August after citing irreconcilable differences. There is no decision yet on the divorce after it has been reportedly known that Gavin cheated on Stefani.
