Amy Duggar is busy these days in preparing for her marriage to fiance Dillon King. Amidst her busy life, she came out to talk about her cousin Josh Duggar's molestation scandal and how it moved the whole family forever.
The Duggar family hit the headlines in May for the offense committed by Josh, 27 to young members of the reality TV show "19 Kids and Counting" including his two younger sisters, sisters Jill, 24, and Jessa Duggar, 22. Amy, 28, spoke to PEOPLE, who admitted that Josh's molestation really shocked her.
"I didn't know about it," Amy claims. "It took me by surprise."
"I knew that he did go away for a little bit, but I didn't know why," during the time Josh was sent for therapy when the alleged scandal was exposed, according to International Business Times.
The cousin of the Duggars confirmed that she was not a victim in the molestation that took place 10 years ago.
"I was not part of it at all," she admits. "I wasn't anywhere near any of that."
Three months after the contentious Duggar scandal, everything was supposed to be running in the right place. Amy tells the magazine that it seems everyone is moving on and has forgotten about the issue. However, things were not really bound to happen. Josh was dragged in another scandal when his alleged Ashley Madison accounts were exposed.
This week, hackers on the site Ashley Madison threatened to expose customers' information. Josh Duggar's two accounts from the site were reported. He reportedly paid almost $1,000 for his two year's membership from 2013 to 2015, Hollywood Life reports. In the family website, Josh admitted to infidelity to his wife, Anna and for being addicted to pornography.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old TV personality shared the news that the whole Duggar family is expected to be present at her wedding. She claimed her cousins Josie, Jennifer, Jordan, and Johanna Duggar, and Josh's eldest daughter, Mackynzie are part of her wedding entourage. She will be tying the knot at the Bentonville, Arkansas on Sunday, Sept. 6.
