Zayn Malik and Calvin Harris' feud blew out of proportion over Taylor Swift. The Scottish DJ is just being a protective boyfriend to the 'Bad Blood" hitmaker when the former One Direction star claimed that he'd made himself an idiot for defending her girlfriend.
The heated Twitter spat between the popular celebrities began when Malik, 22, retweeted Tay Tay's post on Monday. The former fiancée of Perrie Edwards posted a quote from Miley Cyrus that says she doesn't care about money, "the difference is astounding." After exchanges of Twitter rants, the duo's madness quickly melted down, Daily Mail reports.
"You've made your money? Cool... f*** the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive, right? Yeah f*** em," Calvin Harris, 30, wrote in response to Malik.
The Armani model defended his girlfriend by saying that Taylor is doing it also for the sake of other artists.
"If you don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry... then stay out of my f***ing mentions."
At one point of the Malik and Harris' feud, the newly single singer said that he'd made an idiot out of himself for defending the "Blank Space" hitmaker.
"'@CalvinHarris ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself mate," Malik answered back.
Malik and Harris' twitter spat didn't last long. Some of the famous social media rants were also deleted. Meanwhile, Harris ended the row by saying that it's not personal and he's wishing the best of luck for his new solo career. He even expressed his admiration for Malik's voice by saying, "you've got a great voice."
"Oh and I write my own s**t d***head," the former 1D star wrote.
At the height of Malik and Harris' row, Malik's former 1D bandmate, Louis Tomlinson joined the fray in subtle ways. Tomlinson remained silent throughout the word war, but he just favorite Harris' first tweet against Malik.
