Star Trek fans are surely excited to march into theaters next year as the "Star Trek Beyond" movie is currently under way. Adding a fresh of breath air for the viewers is the new uniforms that are used by the cast. Not to mention the new alien race that will soon grace the screen.
io9 reports that the third film of the "Star Trek" series, "Star Trek Beyond" is now in the works. There is not much information about how the move is going to pan out but there are other noticeable factors to chomp on. The article shows a video where the cast are seen wearing new uniforms and the new alien that seems to be part of the Enterprise crew.
IGN confirms a clip of the video of "Star Trek Beyond" online which was presumably taken from the set in Vancouver. There are similar designs of the uniforms previously seen in the original "Star Trek: The Cage" movie. Scotty too is said to have a visual different outfit. They have taken special notice of the distinct appearance of the new alien in the movie. The film is being directed by Fast Furious 5 director Justin Lin and is scheduled to be released on 2016.
Screenrush shows the video and has exclusive footage and was first to release the video of the impending "Star Trek" sequel. The shoot took three hours to finish and they immediately noticed the new designs on their outfits. Kirk and Chekov had newly designed rugged uniforms with knee pads and leather boots. Although Scotty was in a more but not quite the same perhaps traditional uniform with the classic red color.
They were also able to get a first glimpse at the unknown alien individual which is said to have a lead role in the sequel. The alien appears to be a female in gender and does not have any of the marks that would indicate of its lineage of race in the previous films. It is still uncertain how her role plays out in relation to the other main characters. The scene on-set though clearly shows that she is working alongside the Enterprise crew. Based on her get up she too appears to be ready for war.
While the sequel "Star Trek Beyond" is being shot in Vancouver, it will hopefully be a film that will satisfy the taste of the fans. A new alien race and new uniforms are thrown in the making will definitely add spice and excitement.
