Luc Besson's "Valerian" updates its followers with a new cast member, its final storyboard and working title. Clive Owen is officially playing the lead role, and the movie's final title is "Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets."
ComingSoon Net reveals that Clive Owen is now in the roster of cast of "Valerian" movie adaptation along with Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan. Clive will be playing the role of Commander Arün Filitt while Cara and Dane will be Laureline and Valerian respectively.
The report says that this movie adaptation of Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières' graphic novel is a big budget sci-fi film project of EuropaCorp. Luc Besson will pen the script at the same time direct the movie. However, Variety says that EuropaCorp will not only distribute the film but also finance and produce it, yet will be represented by Virginie Besson Silla as its executive producer.
According to Deadline, Director Luc Besson showed the storyboards of the French sci-fi graphic novel series written by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières during the 2015 Comic-Con. The handful of reporters in the backroom of a bar have seen first-hand the set of drawings outlining the plot and shot sequence of the movie adaptation. Besson also told the reporters he gathered that the title of the adapted film would be "Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets."
In the meantime, Clive Owen would be promoting soon his recently completed project "The Confirmation." It is a comedy film wherein Owen played the role of Walt. As for Cara Delevingne, she has series of film that are already in post-production, and one movie project that is currently filming. According to the recent report of Sky News, Delevingne seems to make acting her full time job instead of modeling.
More news update are coming as Luc Besson's "Valerian" would start filming early 2016. The movie would be released in theaters in 2017.
