Dragon Ball fans from the West are in for some treats this week. Amazon will be giving away a bonus for those who will pre-order the Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden. Players will receive the virtual copy of the Super Famicom game Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2.

Super Famicom is the Japan-equivalent of Super Nintendo Entertainment System which came out during the 1990s. It was developed by Nintendo and released in Japan in 1990 and a year later in North America. So-called Famicom, as it adopted the name of its predecessor, the Family Computer.

Going back to the treats, according to the International Business Times India, supporting characters of Dragon Ball Z are also available for pre-ordered copies. These six support characters are Kid Goku, Garlic Jr., Super Vegito, Metal Cooler, Kid Gohan, and Baby Goku.

The game was first released in Japan in June 11. Two days before the Japanese release, reports came out that the Australian ratings board had issued the game's classification, which hinted of the game's launch in other territories. Bandai Namco later confirmed that Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will come the West in October.

According to The Koalition, the game franchise is now trying to take a slice of the handheld market pie with its Dragon Ball Z: Butoden. Arc Sytem Works is now going against the conventional flow of fighting games, to take its gear to a higher course.

For Extreme Butoden, the studio had decided to shift away from one-on-one fights and instead incorporated 3 vs 3 battles, much like the Capcom series. With this new fight mode, players can call out for assist combos.

The Koalition added that over 100 characters will be playable in this game, with some of them even coming from the brand new movie Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection "F." The characters look great; and battles look and run smoothly even when the 3D of the system is turned on, which is a true testament to how the company handles fighting games.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden costs $29.99. Amazon is also offering this game along with The Legend of Legacy and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquests which is tagged at $109.94. The game's official release on Nintendo 3DS will be on October 20.
