Megan Fox's divorce papers were filed on Friday, August 21. The same day, her ex-husband Brian Austin Green was seen filling up the gas of his SUV and one thing noticeable was the visible wedding ring on his left finger.
Wearing shades, the "Beverly Hills 90210" actor, 42, appeared "straight-faced." It was the first time the 42-year-old actor was seen in public just some hours after Fox filed divorce.
Fox and Green separated on June 15 after 11 years and five years of being husband and wife. Fox's rep Laura Wasser told TMZ that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" actress, 29, cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for the divorce. She's also asking for legal and joint custody of the pair's two kids, Noah Green, 2, and Bodhi Green, 18 months..
Both the actors have not commented yet on the reason for Green and Fox's divorce, but there are rumors that say they fight about her career, according to E! News. The actor reportedly wanted her to focus on the family instead of her job.
"They fight about her career. He would prefer she focus on the family more than being obsessed with getting roles."
Back in 2014, exactly a year before their divorce, Fox was interviewed by Cosmopolitan for the August 2014 cover. When asked about how she keeps their marriage working for a long time, the brunette beauty dished that there's nothing that she and her husband couldn't go through.
"You have to be with someone who loves you at your absolute worst, because you can't be an actress every moment of the day forever. Brian and I have done everything you can do to ruin a relationship and we still love each other," Fox claimed in the August 2014 Cosmo issue. "I don't want to be boastful and say that we would never divorce, but I can't imagine a scenario we couldn't work through."
Prior to the split, the ex-couple was seen together on June 9 in Beverly Hills. Green has another son, Kassius Green, 13, with ex Vanessa Marcil. Green and Fox's divorce follows the strings of Hollywood divorces this year, including Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, and Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck to name a few.
