The hit ABC series "Once Upon A Time" will be adding a new character this upcoming Season 5 as Merida from "Brave" was revealed to be part of the show. The new character will be played by actress Amy Manson.
According to Bustle, Merida will be encountering the new Dark One, Emma Swan, while they are in the Enchanted Forest. From the original movie, Merida is on the journey to find Merlin but it remains unknown if this will be incorporated in the series. The publication added that she will also be meeting the other enchanted character in Storybrooke and she will be friends with Belle as they will be sharing a long adventure together.
Other new characters to join "Once Upon A Time" Season 5 are Arthur, Guinevere, and Sir Lionel, Christian Post reported. Zelena will also be seen this upcoming series giving birth and the old fan favorites will still be seen in the show's upcoming season. The new season will be revolving around Snow, Charming, Regina, Henry, and Hook trying to bring Emma Swan back after she was taken in by the evil vortex then became the Dark One.
According to other reports, Regina and Emma will be switching roles since the evil queen has gone through a lot from being part of the dark side to being one of the good guys of the show. She will be guiding Emma so she can be back to her old self. It will also be seen in "Once Upon A Time's" upcoming episodes that Rumplestiltskin will be offering his hand to help Emma be more guided into becoming the Dark One. His relationship with Belle will also progress since he is no longer cursed, Fashion & Style reported.
