Executive Producer Dave Filoni contrasts Star Wars Rebels Season 1 and Season 2 for the old and new fans by saying that, "If season one represent A New Hope, season two is very much inspired by Empire Strikes Back."
Inspired by the Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars Rebels Season 2 requires higher and better action said Filoni during an interview with Starwars. The intensity is maintained while the story goes to very good, exciting and fun place.
In the premiere of Star Wars Rebels during the New York Comics Con last June 20, Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader is wrecking havoc on the ghost crew as reported by Ib times. Being the fanatical wing of the empire, Vader thinks that the republic is weak and he has to be responsible of it and his hate fueled with the desire to make a change grows bigger and stronger. He then starts to point fingers and this time his eyes are on the ghost crew.
In the next Season, Vader hunts down the ghost crew particularly Jedi whom he thinks is staging a coup against the republic. To stop the rebels, Vader dispatches new agents to hunt down the growing coalition before they start a rebellion.
On the other hand, the crew of the ghost is now considered a real threat to the empire. The rebels seek out old friends and add powerful allies to their cause against the empire according to Kpopstarz. For instance, Kanan and Ezra are being reunited with his former Padawan, Ahsoka tano. Captain Rex, Hondo Ohnaka, Captain Gregor and Commander Wolffe are joining the ghost crew in the next season.
Aside from releasing the official synopsis of Star Wars Rebel Season 2 and after the one-hour television movie premiere, Disney continues to tease the Star Wars fans with the panel on Star Wars Rebels and the screening of episode, The Lost Commander in New York Comic Con in October 8-11.
