"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Henry Cavill teases the Man of Steel's possible appearance in the potential sequel of "Suicide Squad". The upcoming movie is slated to open in cinemas on March 2016.
It has already been confirmed that Ben Affleck's Batman will be making an appearance in "Suicide Squad" and there has been rumors floating online that Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor may do as well. Superman, however, will certainly not be featured in the upcoming film. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Henry Cavill confirmed this to Metro when he was asked if the red-caped super will be making a cameo in the movie. But the fans do not need to worry as the actor teased that he "might be" in its potential sequel.
Despite his absence from the anti-hero flick, Superman will still be referenced to some extent. Inquisitr notes that Viola Davis' Amanda Waller mentioned Superman's existence and the reaction it spurred among other beings with "abilities." The outlet compares this to how Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) became a shepherd of sorts to other Marvel superheroes, bringing a unifying thread throughout its cinematic universe.
As he waits for his next appearance in the future DC movies, Cavill will surely have a lot to deal with in the forthcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". As previously reported, it is helmed by Zack Snyder and will also star Affleck, Eisenberg, Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), and Amy Adams (Lois Lane). Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Grant Gustin's the Flash will also be making a cameo in the film which is scheduled to hit the big screen worldwide next year, on March 25.
"Suicide Squad"on the other hand, will star Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Hernandez as El Diablo, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. Directed by David Ayer, it is slated to premiere on August 5.
