While for some Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update still is elusive to their phones, the first generation Motorola Moto E is lucky enough that a Lollipop-based custom ROM is made available through developer community CyanogenMod. With it of course is the much-awaited solution to the notorious Stagefright vulnerability.
CyanogenMod 12.1 firmware has been updated by the custom ROM developer community for the Motorola Moto E (1st Gen) bringing a patch for Stagefright security threat which was first found out months ago. Stagefright attacks via MMS sent to messaging apps usually Google Hangout and Whatsapp. When the device's user opens the MMS the threat will start to destroy or steal data from the device without the user knowing it.
Before heading over to the installation process, remember a few things: by proceeding to the installation, user is free from any warranty from Motorola. Also, charge up battery up at least 80 percent.
