OnePlus 2 rolls out at half of Samsung Galaxy S6 price; Top specs include three-position alert slider, fingerprint scanner, and its own Oxygen OS

The latest powerful phone but won't hold too much cash, OnePlus 2 is now hitting the market. The handset, said having the most part that can go up against the Samsung Galaxy S6 for less than half the price.

The Australian reports that every feature a user can assume of a flagship smartphone, from the high-powered internals to a smooth metal build, and a snappy fingerprint scanner said to boast by this OnePlus 2 device. Moreover, it also includes a few unique features.

Additionally, OnePlus has already shifted to its own Oxygen OS and parted ways with its former custom Android software-maker Cyanogen. However, some of its best features are reportedly reserved while dealing to continue things as close every bit possible to stock Android as well.

The said unique features include the three-position alert slider that is placed on the left side and lets users to switch between notification ­profiles easily. It also features a mode where alerts of messages and calls are reportedly restricted from important contacts only, completely without the need of taking the smartphone out of your pocket. However, it was described for not having an extra SIM slot for a MicroSD card.

According to Gizmodo, the new One Plus Two includes two new add-ons to the button scheme, too. The phone said to feature a new fingerprint scanner right on the home button. It also sports a switch on the left side where it allows toggling between a customizable "priority notifications and "all notification settings.

The site added that the latest OnePlus 2 is a large smartphone, which close to double the size of its forerunner and comes similar to the LG G4 also. The device's boxy design said doesn't employ any crafty shaping that would prepare the phone feel like anything smaller than a handset with a 5.5-inch display.

Last August 11, the 64GB OnePlus 2 version started putting out in the UK, Europe and India. It is reportedly delayed in the US until late August, and will arrive in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore later this year. Whereas, the entry-level 16GB model with 3GB of RAM is also scheduled to ship later this year, Tech Radar wrote.

For its pricing concern, the OnePlus 2 64GB model is holding a cost tag of only £289 while its 16GB version is £239.
