The upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 and Mi5 Plus are now being rumoured since it have already trickled over the internet. Both handsets are expected to come equipped with Android 5.1.1 or Google's operating system future version.
According to dayherald, the alleged Mi5 will reportedly come in 5.2-inch Quad-HD resolution display along with a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC running its core. Whereas, a report from IBtimes contradicts this as it was stated that the latest Xiaomi Mi5 will feature a 5.3-inch display, featuring a Quad HD screen with a resolution of 2560 ex 1440 pixels. The display was said capable of creating high pixel count of 554 ppi.
A 3000mAh battery will reportedly equip to the forthcoming Xiaomi Mi5. Moreover, the device is also being discussed for having a fingerprint scanner, but with Qualcomm in the core. Also, it is said that a Sense ID Tech to be debuted by Mi5 will not come as a surprise anymore.
The purported sensor was stated to make use of ultrasound technology rather than the optical, this can be normally seen in the current generation gadgets, dayherald asserted. As for its photography department, the site added that Xiaomi Mi5 will boast a 16megapixels back shooter together with its 3 to 4GB of RAM. IBtimes wrote that the Xiaomi Mi5 was reported to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, to be coated by Xiaomi's newly launched MIUI 7 proprietary software.
On the other hand, the other Xiaomi Mi5 Plus is expected to come in 5.7-inch 2K display along with 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 chipset and Adreno 530 GPU. The device will also include Gorilla Glass 4, and MIUI 7 based on Android lollipop, techgrapple reports.
Dayherald shares that the forthcoming larger Xiaomi Mi5 Plus will reportedly boast an outrageous 24megapixel rear camera with a super 13megapixel selfie snapper. It is also reported that Xiomi may purchase its cameras from Sony.
Just like the Xiaomi Mi5, a fingerprint scanner is also expected to be included in the device along with a 3500mAh battery. These two Xiaomi devices will allegedly feature 16GB and 64GB of MMC 5.0 storage.
As for its pricing concern, the Xiaomi Mi 5 was reported to have a price tag of $371 or $386 based on some leaked materials. While the Mi5 Plus said increases its price to $600 since it is packed with great and pricey hardware inside.
