Google's upcoming LG-made Nexus 5 has found its way through the internet and was eventually leaked revealing a plastic back panel with a fingerprint scanner and a logo of the model and its manufacturer.
Leaked images have spiraled speculations that the incoming Nexus phone will be a lot cheaper than its 240 UK Pounds, older brother the Nexus 4, Gizmodo points out. Although Google has not issued any statements with regards to the price of their next flagship phone, the website based their predictions on the material of the phone, which the images showed as part plastic and metal.
Another website, Tech First Post, released the images on the website has pointed out the craftsmanship of LG by integrating the back plastic cover with Google's rear fingerprint scanner. The website also showcased the phone's front panel that will rock dual stereo speakers, and a 3D camera as well as an 810 Snapdragon chipset.
The images also showed the public the Nexus 5's USB Type-C port and a 5.2-inch screen. In addition, the plastic back panel also bores the Nexus the LG logo, but the Nexus badge will be significantly larger than the LG insignia.
With regard to the Nexus 5's official release date, tech website Alphr also cited that Google will officially release the phablet in October and will run on the pre-installed Android M, Google's newest baby with regards to their operating systems. Aside from the LG-manufactured Nexus, the website also showcased the second series of the Google Nexus, which will be mass-produced by Taiwanese-based tech company Huawei.
The only difference between the two Nexus will be its size and price. Based on previous reports, the larger and Huawei prepared phablet will be priced slightly lower than the LG-made Nexus, simply because of its target market. As per reports, the LG Nexus will target the NA, EU, and AU market while the larger Nexus will target Asia.
Up to this point, Google has yet to confirm nor deny the rumors that surround their upcoming Nexus 5, but, regardless if the LG-made Nexus 5 is cheaper or is entirely made of plastic, what will carry Google's looming flagship device would be what's under its hood, and so far, the phablet's specs looks promising.
