Madison and her family's reaction to the outbreak will be explored in 'Fear The Walking Dead' episode 2. Meanwhile, it was recently reported that 'FTWD' season 1 premiere broke all previous series' pilot records with 10.1 million viewers.
In the premiere episode of 'Fear the Walking Dead', viewers saw Nick walking up after a drug-induced slumber inside a church that is filled with drug addicts. He searched for his girlfriend Gloria as he roamed around the dilapidated place. He then heard a lot of earsplitting thuds and he found a lifeless guy with a chunk of him missing. He finally found his girlfriend consuming another dead addict. He ran away only to be hit by a car.
Madison then got a call from the hospital and learned that Nick has been hit by a car. She went to the hospital with Travis and Alicia. At the hospital, Nick told Travis about what happened in the church, while Tobias, a student, said to Madison about a mysterious epidemic that has infected five states. 'FTWD' premiere episode ended with Madison asking Travis what the hell is going on.
Eventually, 'Fear The Walking Dead' debut last Sunday broke all previous premiere records, with 10.1 million viewers, according to Melty.
According to Realty Today, the second episode of 'The Walking Dead' spin-off will see Madison and her family's reaction to the undead virus. Episode 2 is titled "So Close, Yet So Far" and will air on AMC next Sunday on Aug. 30 at 9 p.m. EDT.
Spoilers Guide reports that, "Madison will not only have to contend with the doom that is coming her way, but she has to get her son Nick right first. He is struggling with a crippling withdrawal from his drug habit and the debilitating toll it is taking on his body, as well as his sanity."
Meanwhile, Travis will do his best to save his own son who is out in Los Angeles city in the midst of a zombie rebirth. And, he will be dealing with the forefront of the herds in 'Fear The Walking Dead' episode 2.
