The much awaited Final Fantasy 7 remake has made fans hungry for the longest time. Sure enough, any bit of news that these gamers receive will be enough to make them smile, but not any more than the sure fire news of when it will be released. With that being said, players are to take note of the possible progress that Square Enix has made while the game is still not at hand.
According to Vg247, the up and coming Final Fantasy 7 remake is to be rigged with a modernized combat system. However, Square Enix is yet to decide as to what form it will go for.
Reported recently by IGN, the director of the remake, Tetsuya Nomura, confessed that he will not solely just reproduce the old ATB combat system. Moreover, there isn't a concrete plan on its way yet. At its own pace, the game may be headed to further improvements and perhaps a more solid statement of what it is really to become.
As the months went by, a clearer picture of the ideal project has formed itself. Yoshinori Kitase, the project producer and colleague of Nomura, declared that the development team has already drawn clearly as to what the game will look like. Apart from that, he also mentioned that they will still be going around the possibilities of the combat prototypes within the game.
Kitase was quoted on a report by Gematsu, "We're starting to see the visual direction. On the other hand, we're currently working out the battle system and such through trial-and-error. Since there's a possibility that the command battle system of the old days might not work today, we're thinking hard about what kind of direction we can take it."
At one vantage point, the return of a classic battle system may well be on its way, but with absolutely no assurance. Nomura gave his word, however, that it will be a familiar face in the Final Fantasy 7 franchise. No release date of Final Fantasy 7 remake has been announced yet as of lately.
