Jerry Bruckheimer is currently being sued by a handyman due to an incident in his home where in the handyman allegedly fell into a 2-foot large hole when he entered the house.
According to reports by Forbes, 69-year-old Jerry Bruckheimer ranks 12th on its inaugural list of Hollywood's Richest Power Brokers. Jerry is a 69-year-old producer who is currently worth $900 million. He made a name for himself back in the 1990s with his blockbusters, Bad Boys and Armageddon. He made major breakthrough in the 2000s due to The Pirates of the Caribbean series on the big screen. Given his rank of power in the world of movies and television in Hollywood, he is currently sued by a simple handyman.
The handyman, Isidro Jaurequi is suing Bruckheimer. He was allegedly hired by the producer to make repairs at his home in Los Angeles, as reported by Contact Music. Jaurequi allegedly claims that he was severely injured during the incident when he stepped into his home and his foot fell into a whole on the Bruckheimer's doorstep.
According to TMZ, back in December 2014, he was invited into Bruckheimer's home and invited to enter the house through a sliding door. Based on his allegations, there was a metal base plate by the doorstep covering a hole 2-foot in diameter. He claims he allegedly stepped into the base plate and it shifted, bringing him down into the hole. It was never clear as to what extend the injuries the handyman has acquired during the incident, only stating that they were severe. He hasn't stated any amount that he claims from the producer either.
His intentions of suing Bruckheimer for such incident without stating the extent of his injuries are definitely unclear. Given the position and power that the producer holds in the industry, settling for the case is not going to be a big deal.
