'Divergent: Allegiant' star Theo James talked about his on-screen romance and kissing experience with co-star Shailene Woodley. Rosa Salazar, who plays Lynn in the series, will not be returning to reprise her role in the final film.
James, who plays Tobias 'Four' Eaton in the popular franchise, opened up about filming numerous intimate scenes with Woodley, who plays Beatrice 'Tris' prior. According to Movie News Guide. The 30-year old English actor admitted that things had been awkward at first but he and Woodley both eased into it naturally soon after becoming close on set. He said that they tried to avoid the "cheesy" type of romance to accommodate Tris and Four's "functional, tough, intricate relationship."
In another article by the Australia Network News, James acknowledged his feelings of nervousness but excitement when he met the cast for the first time. He said that he and Woodley had to go over the intimate kissing scenes again and again to make things go smoother. The two are often rumored to be linked romantically off-screen however they are just friends since they are currently involved with other people.
James and Woodley are definitely signed on as returning protagonists for the third and final two-part installment of the 'Divergent' series but one cast member will not be returning with them, according to Digital Spy. 'Maze Runner' actress Rosa Salazar, who portrayed Lynn in the second film, announced her departure from the role in July's San Diego Comic Con despite her character managing to stay alive in 'Insurgent'. She said, "I'm not going to be in Allegiant at all".
'Divergent: Allegiant' is the final film in the science-fiction-adventure series based on author Veronica Roth's young adult novels of the same name. It will be split into two parts with the first is scheduled to premiere on March 18, 2016 and the second half to be released on March 24, 2017. The first film was released last 2014 and became a massive success at the box office.
