Latest reports regarding George R. R. Martin's upcoming book sequel, "The Winds of Winter," include official information about Stannis Baratheon and Dornish Princess Arianne Martel, who has not appeared in the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones."
Due to the intense excitement of the fans towards the release of the sixth book under the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, speculations after speculations about its plot and release are circulating online. However, just recently, George R. R. Martin revealed official intel about the upcoming book sequel to appease the growing need of the fan for a book 6.
According to the renowned author, Stannis Baratheon is not yet dead in the upcoming book sequel. Martin dropped this huge information via his blog as an answer to a fan question, Realty Today reported. The author clarified that although Stannis have been slashed to death in "Game of Thrones," he is well and alive in the much-awaited "The Winds of Winter."
An excerpt from the book has also been released just recently, which contains the point of view of Dornish Princess Arianne Martel, the heiress to the kingdom of Dorn and is engaged with Viserys Targaryen,
International Business Times wrote that the excerpt talks about Arianne's journey to find out the real deal about Prince Rhaegar's son, Aegon Targaryen. However, her character still has not appeared on the HBO series and is reportedly being replaced by Toby Sebastian's Prince Trystane Martell.
While waiting for the release of the sixth book sequel, fans of Martin's work have predicted other characters that may not live to see the end of "The Winds of Winter" based on the events in the "Game of Thrones" season 5. But ultimately, all the fans could only hope and wait for George R. R. Martin to finish the book sooner than later.
Official information about the "The Winds of Winter" release is yet to be announced but some plot information was recently spilled by George R. R. Martin himself so fans can have something to chew on before its finally hits the bookstores.
