Channing Tatum has officially landed the role as Gambit in the "Gambit Movie." As production starts to roll they are hiring crew in New Orleans, Louisiana. While on the main casting positions Lea Seydoux has taken the role opposite Channing Tatum.
Good news for the people of New Orleans, Louisiana! The producers of the "Gambit Movie" are currently hiring crews for the upcoming film according to Project Casting. To add for a more positive note, Channing Tatum and 20th Century Fox has finally come into terms with Channing officially playing the role of Remy Etienne LeBeau or otherwise known as 'Gambit.' This erases initial speculations that Tatum was canned for the role initially. It was reported that Rupert Wyatt was more interested in another face other than Channing's while casting of his lead actress was underway. Only Tatum and 20th Century Fox can probably attest to how things went from worse to better while negotiations as to who will portray Remy.
Gambit is part of the X-Men and has the mental ability to create, manipulate and control kinetic energy at will. Born in Louisiana his main tools that he uses as weapons are a deck of cards and a staff. He charges the cards and throws them as exploding projectiles.
Christian Post reports that Channing might finally have his main leading lady for the "Gambit Movie" in the person of Lea Seydoux. If ever she does lands the role she will play Bella Donna Boudreaux. Other films that she starred in are "Inglorious Basterds,""Blu is the Warmest Color,""The Grand Budapest Hotel,""Midnight in Paris," and "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol."
Hollywood News adds that Lea Seydoux is a French actress and will be appearing in the upcoming James Bond film "Spectre" other than a probable appearance in the "Gambit Movie." A new image was released showing Daniel Craig and Lea standing beside each other in the middle of the desert with train tracks behind them.
The "Gambit Movie" will be directed by Rupert Wyatt and screenplay by Joshua Zetumer and Chris Claremont. Production is set to start in October in Cajun Country, Louisiana and aims to be shown on October 6, 2016. The role for Bella Donna is yet to be finalized and we will see if things turn out well for Lea Seydoux. Of course X-Men fans will look forward to Channing Tatum's performance as Remy. It still remains to be seen though whether or not Channing can pull it off as an X-men.
