The Force is with the Star Wars Battlefront as it launches its multiplayer beta in October. This game mode is the most anticipated in this Star Wars installment, as it engages several players in one mission or battle. The beta will be coming out to PS4, PC and Xbox One.
Although EA has not announced the exact date yet, the developer already revealed which missions in the game will be included in the beta. What is being offered in the Star Wars Battlefront beta are the Walker Assault on the planet Hoth and the Survival Mission on Tatooine, as reported by Irish Examiner.
In Walker Assault, the battle of 40 players will take place in the snowy terrains of Hoth. AT-ATs slowly marching toward the Rebel base will be seen in this multiplayer mode. A bonus which features Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader gracing this mission is also available to be unlocked. On the other hand, the Survival Mission players in Tatooine have to fight back invading Imperial Forces.
Star Wars Battlefront Companion is also available in the beta, as mentioned in VG 24/7 report. This features the strategic card game Base Command. Users can earn in-game Credits that can unlock Star Cards, weapons, and more in Star Wars Battlefront.
Venture Beat rolled out how EA and its Star Wars Battlefront would benefit from this open beta which comes October. The beta will be open for everyone to play on all its supported platforms. No invites were issued out by the developers, which would easily enable players to download the game and start playing it before its official release on November 17.
Going back on the benefits of an open beta; since Battlefront is offering a lot of multiplayer modes, this beta will furnish DICE with some good data on how the game will handle a throng of players. Although DICE had been known to having busted online infrastructures in the past, it had somehow redeemed itself by repairing their network.
A free demo meant that hundreds, even thousands, will be playing the game. And this would also mean that a lot may purchase Star Wars Battlefront once it's released. EA/DICE might have hit an ace on this strategy for the game's beta, and eventually, in the game's overall net sales.
