By

Setting aside Street Fighter V's previous beta problems, more pieces of good news have befallen the upcoming fighting game franchise. Even as the title is still not too close to launching for now, the addition of new characters are of course, as enticing as they come for the players.

Capcom's long-running game has of course, gone through various changes and expansions after so many years in the fighting game industry. With Street Fighter 5 just peeking around the corner, Capcom chooses to tease the fans with the newest additions to the roster, as well as returning ones, and the reactions of the fans have been incomparable.

As delivered by Game Spot, the already existing slash-style Necalli will be joined by three other characters that were not in the original Street Fighter titles. The game will be comprised of sixteen characters in total for the launch, but it will not stop there according to Street Fighter brand director Matt Dahlgren. The remaining three characters, as of the moment, are in line for announcements in the coming months-in which Capcom will follow it up with more DLC for the next months in the form of downloadable contents.

In terms of returning characters, Ryu and Chun Li are confirmed to return. Rainbow Mika and Nash are also some that have not showed up in the franchise for quite some time.

For the classic characters, new skins have been released for their alternative outfits to make things more interesting. According to Vg247, Cammy now comes with a lighter and softer outfit-one that looks like it would be used for a mission as her character depicts.

It does not stop there, as Ryu also has an alternative costume that showcases him having a full beard, as reported by Eurogamer. This is speculated to be in relation to his rigid training in the story line, and/or has simply decided to grow the said facial hair all-out.

Fans are to take note that Street Fighter V will be released by spring of 2016 for the next gen consoles of PS4 and PC. For the more hardcore fans of the franchise, a $100 special edition version of the game and various preorder-exclusive costumes will be made available by Capcom.
