Bungie introduces yet another exotic weapon to the Destiny: The Taken King game. This was revealed during its third and final Twitch stream. The Raze Lighter will be added up in the heavy lineup of weapons in The Taken King.
Previously, swords can only be acquired through special pickups during certain special events and at the Crota's End Raid. But Lauren was caught carrying the new exotic Raze Lighter sword during the live Twitch, according to News Intent. Rockets will now be in second, perhaps, in the field. This forceful melee weapon runs on heavy ammo, with grisly jagged design and brings solar damage to a target changing and adding excitement to the game play of the franchise.
Its perks include swelled armor and the power to pull off strong Solar thrusts. Raze Lighter can also be used to block incoming attacks; making the close melee game a little more interesting.
Perhaps, this move from Bungie was to grant the demands of fans and players of Destiny: The Taken King to include swords in the weapons. According to a Forbes report, Destiny had been needing swords for a long time, as any other video games have them.
The swordplay presented by the developers during the live stream looked extremely powerful. But there is some slight worry, though, to the game balance. Instead of ammo-slinging and gun-pointing gametype, "will the Crucible degenerate into a bunch of people running around thwacking one another with swords?" the report inquired.
The swords will not dominate the whole Destiny: The Taken King gameplay, of course. According to Inquisitr, they will be considered the third weapon type that can be acquired in the Heavy Weapon slot. These swords cannot be obtained through typical loot drops or end of mission rewards, Bungie pointed out. These heavy blades can only be forged or earned by completing quests. Raze Lighter will have its debut in Destiny: The Taken King's launch on September 15. The King's Fall Raid will come just three days after, September 18.
There's always excitement from gaming fans when new weapons are being introduced into the game. And a lot of fans of Destiny: The Taken King will be happy about this development, as their requests are granted. New weapons meant new gameplay, and unique gameplays add diversity in the process. Provided, of course, that these elements were not just added up for the hype, but it will open up more substance and stories in the game itself.
