Newlywed couple, Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter named their 2-month old son Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch. The two had tied the knot early of this year and was blessed with a baby boy who now just turned 2 months.
Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch, personally chose the name Carlton for his son. Carlton has made significance with his family as it is the name that both he and his father share together. Coincidentally, Benedict Cumberbatch's latest character in BBC TV's adaptation of Parade's End is Christopher, Mirror UK shared.
In welcoming their first child, both the couple are said to be delighted in this milestone event of their lives as husband and wife. As the two are already concentrated in their separate careers, they both enjoy and said to be learning more about parenthood.
However, Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter went ahead on luring the public eyes' away from their son for some time; especially during the baby's arrival on June 2015. The couple was said to have requested for privacy and some time alone with their newly born child for the next precious weeks from the time their son was born, International Business Time featured in a report.
During the said private time, the pair did not choose to reveal the name of their child to the public. And thus, they made it a point to be far away from the spotlight for an ample amount of time. Christopher Carlton was born on June 1 at Portland Hospital in Westminster, shared by The Daily Mail UK in an article. Reasons behind were for them to enjoy their alone time with their son and take a sort of break from the attention of the public - most especially when there's already a child in the way.
The elegant name Christopher Carlton was well-thought by Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter as they made it very significant to things and people close to them. Both actors are well in good with their careers and now ready to show-off - even a little- glimpse of their first born.
