Chris Evans kills the rumor about Captain America's death in "Civil War." The Hollywood actor confirms that his contract with Marvel Studios is stretched for Infinity War 1 & 2. On a different light, Evans feels anxious in his directorial debut in an indie film.
IGN states that Chris Evans is still eager to play his most iconic role in Marvel superhero. It seems that he has no plans of turning in his vibranium shield, but expresses his desire to go beyond the "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 And 2."
In his interview with Collider, he explicitly said that if Marvel Studios wants him to go on with his Marvel Superhero iconic role, then he is more than willing to stay. He also said that working with a studio who makes great movies plus with wonderful directors and producers, is a great opportunity. Marvel studios is like a playground for him. Evans revealed that his present contract with the studio has sealed him in up to the second installment of "Avengers: Infinity War."
ComicBook recalls that Chris Evans has been hesitant at first to sign the contract with Marvel Studios. He's not denying that he was indeed reluctant to do the role of Captain America. While filming the Superhero movies that have been lined up for him and his co-stars, he's been vocal also about his hopes to work with other projects when his done with his contract.
But it seems that his perspective has been changed over time. His enthusiasm and revelation during the interviews confirm that he made the right decision. In the interview, he clearly said that he would be an a****le if he really declined the project, and he would not forgive himself from rejecting the role of the most iconic superhero of Marvel Universe. He also revealed that "he was "terrified" thinking about being finished with Captain America."
On a different note, Chris Evans is feeling anxious of his directorial debut. According to Arab News, Evans has been working on an indie film as a director at the same time lead actor. The project is a romantic drama titled "Before We Go." The storyline of the movie is about an aspiring musician named Nick (Chris Evan) who met Brooke (Alive Eve) in New York City. Their meeting sets "an all-night adventure" in the city that never sleeps.
Evans has admitted that it's not an easy task to direct at the same time do the starring role. But he is not discouraged to master this new craft. He is still willing to helm new movies, working behind the camera. Right now, he is concerned with the reviews, yet he is prepared for the criticism.
The indie film "Before We Go" will be released on September 4.
