The newest Witcher 3: Wild Hunt patch fulfills CD Projekt RED's promise to add new romantic dialogue in the game. The new patch offers players the opportunity to explore more romantic options with the two main romantic interests.
This patch is also going to solve problems related to experience gaining encountered by Steam users. According to CD Projekt RED official forums, Fans were not pleased by the limitations the developers set to Geralt's romantic options. As a result, developers have been working to tweak dialogues options to allow more choices in favor of Triss.
"We'll be adding some additional dialogue for Triss and Yennefer in an upcoming patch due to the fan feedback," according to a CD Projekt RED representative. "We've read so many options on our forums where gamers weren't satisfied with the way their romance choices fleshed out, so we wanted to change that by adding some extra conversational options."
The Witcher 3 is set to release the first of its two paid add-ons, Hearts of Stone, October this year. This feature adds another 10 hours of gameplay to the open-world RPG. The developers are almost finished with this expansion, according to the studio at PAX Prime. This will be available sold through the $25 Wirher 3 Expansion Pass, though the official pricing has not yet been announced. The second add-on, Blood and Wine add-ons, is also set to debut in the first quarter of next year.
Overall, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now sold over 6 million copies to date. "Yes, six million copies is a great achievement for a company making RPGs," according to the studio's head, Adam Badowski "but this business is not only about that. If our games are gallery of sound, picture and text - you are the visitors of this gallery. To an artist, there is no sweeter sight than people enjoying their work."
Although there is no specific date, a release for this upcoming patch is rumored to come this week and is set to be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
