The true to life transgender movie, "The Danish Girl", amazed the audiences which was not a common circumstance for a film. On Sunday, the film received a less than ten-minute standing ovation after the premiere screening at the 72nd Venice Film Festival which was held in Italy.

Deadline reported that Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander, Mattias Schoenaerts and Amber Heard were all present during the gala night. During the event, the place was filled with tension and tears. According to the article, the possibility of being an award nominee is highly elevated.

The award-winning actor, Eddie Redmayne, also received compliments from everyone who attended. According to a report on Variety, the whole transformation character role was the biggest challenge so far. But, he assured that he learned from it and his transgender role led him to meet other people with the same cases.

However, theguardian reported that Tom Hooper, "The Danish Girl" director, declared he is more comfortable working with non-transgender actors. It serves as a challenge not only for him but also for the actor who will portray the transgender role. He also recalled Eddie Redmayne's past feminine character citing that he will be perfect for the role of Lili Elbe.

The director also thinks that the villain in the story, if there is one, is dualism. According to him, people are living based on different opinions and binaries. But, he reiterated the point that there are still complicated places in every spectrum which people chose to follow.

With so much controversy the LGBT and transgender are facing today, Tom Hooper left the impression that every transgender who plans to have a sex-transition surgery should acquire the willingness to do so.

"The world has shifted profoundly on Lili's story. I hope now that a trans woman or trans man going through transition would not feel the same pressure to go the surgical route if he or she did not feel comfortable with that," Hooper said.

"The Danish Girl" has gone far ahead. Now, people highly expect that the movie will be a big hit. It is scheduled for its release on November 27, 2015.
