Emmy-nominated actor Idris Elba just turned 43 this year. He has had many accomplishments over the years that earned him well on his title and more upcoming films on the big screen.
The 43-year-old actor has been portraying a lot of heroic roles in action-filled movies. He has been appearing not only in the big screen, but in television as well. He has also had comic book roles, like the role of Heimdall in "Thor" and many others. As reported by Hollywood Reporter, the actor had amazing performances in his past projects that earned him his great title today. To name a few, he was a part of big hit in the Television Series like "The Wire" ranging between 2002 and 2004 then the hit series from 2010 to 2015 entitled "Luther".
According to Comic Book, the English actor is best known in the world of comic books for his roles on "Pacific Rim" and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Prior to his projects on the big screen, he used to be working as a DJ on nightclubs. A lot of people are even on the verge of convincing Hollywood that he may be the next James Bond.
Last September 6, Elba turned 43 and alongside his birthday, the event also marks another year in the acting industry. After a 2-year hiatus on television after "Luther", he is going to come back and take a role on a two-part mini-series, unknown as to its airing date. This year is a big one for him as he will soon hit the big-screen once again. He has an upcoming war-drama movie entitled "Beasts of No Nation" which will open in theatres this October 2015 according to Hollywood Life. He is also currently filming "The Jungle Book"," Finding Dory" and "Star Trek".
The audience is definitely going to see and hear a lot of Idris this year. And if allegations are true, he might be seen as the new James Bond as well.
