Heather Thompson of "Real Housewives of New York" is not returning for the next season. She's leaving the Bravo show for good to focus more on her multi-million dollar company, and give time to her family.
Back in July, a source revealed that reality star was planning to resign on the show. The actress, who had just started her fashion line was apparently decided to give more time to her business and family.
"The reality of it [is] that I just can't do it anymore," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I have to focus on the things that are really, really important in my life, and that's my family and my business. While I'm filming the show, I also am running a multimillion dollar business, and it takes away a lot of my time from the company."
There were rumors that her resignation was also fueled by the fights happening on the set. An insider told told UsWeekly that she joined the show three years ago to promote her business, but it changed to something leading to ridiculous fights over the ridiculous antics of some unstable women.
During the season, the story just revolved around Thompson's clashes with costars Bethenny Frankel and Dorinda Medley. She also had a beef with LuAnn de Lesseps after she found out a naked man in their home in their trip to Turks and Caicos, PEOPLE reports. Thompson said that on her third year with the show, she figured out where she was with the women and she felt like it was the end of it.
When asked about her RHONY costar, Kristen Taekman's and her husband Josh's Ashley Madison scandal, the 45-year-old said that the two are far from pursuing a divorce. She said that Kristen believes her husband and Josh is a good guy.
With Thompson resigning from RHONY, she'll definitely devote her time to her children, Jax, 10, and Ella Rae, 8. She will also be focusing now on her wardrobe essentials brand Yummie." The Real Housewives of New York City" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
