Together with other role-playing games, Battle Chasers: Nightwar has its own touch of creative perspective around the storyline. As the game looks for its presence to be felt on a different scale, news regarding a new development team has come about; and their focus is set entirely on the upcoming project.
As reported by Vg247, the Darksiders creative director Joe Madureira, along with new studio Airship Syndicate recently gave out word that the campaign more known as Kickstarter for Battle Chasers: Nightwar was launched. The project's more thorough information was recently disclosed to the public.
Story-wise, according to Eurogamer, Battle Chasers: Nightwar takes place at a fictional medieval world, which is parted by a massive wall made of mist, known as the Grey Line. As clichéd as it could be, people have trekked into the said mist and never had the chance of returning. With that, the hero named Aramus goes through the mist, and his child Gully along with other characters go on a journey to bring him back.
The game is essentially based on the comic book series creation, also by Joe Madureira, Battle Chasers. In terms of timeline, the said series took place from about 1998 to 2001, and Airship Syndicate has already thought of making a batch that will go together with the upcoming game.
Recently delivered by Cinema Blend, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is set to release for the PC and MAC, as well as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The target date will be December 2016, as of the moment, but might have a change of plans along the way.
Airship Syndicate's members can be recognized as former parts of the Vigil Games, the developers of Darksiders. Unfortunately, Vigil Games closed up back in 2013 together with THQ, due to bankruptcy, after which, the rights of Darksiders went to Nordic Games who bought it thereafter.
Despite the fact that Battle Chasers: Nightwar is not completely related to Darksiders and the continuity of it, a minor segment of it the title will be present in the said title. For those who go behind the project will be rewarded a weapon skin that morphs a sword into the Chaos Eater from the very first Dark Siders title, which will be a very nifty addition to the system.
