With Rise of the Tomb Raider being a highly anticipated and appreciated installment in Crystal Dynamics' franchise, fans are not just questioning the release date and stories, but the ratings of the game as well. With news regarding the game's current standing in the eyes of the public being critically commented on, just how mass-friendly is Rise of the Tomb Raider?
As recently reported by Game Pur, Rise of the Tomb Raider was currently assessed by The Australian Ratings Board. They have generously given their thoughts on the role-playing game, with a deciphering of the less-addressed details of the game and tackled deep into the game's entirety. They have rated the game as M15+, along with the fact that the game clearly does not have sex or nudity involved.
Rise of the Tomb Raider, however, does contain a certain amount of violence and probable use of drugs. It will most likely be caused by the need of Lara to heal herself with said drugs, and painkillers if need to.
In other related news, according to The Sixth Axis, as much as it may be demanded, there will not be a multiplayer feature for Rise of the Tomb Raider. This may be because of the fact that other games have been inhabiting the norm of having the said multiplayer feature, and adding DLC features to improve it.
Ubergizmo delivered that the multiplayer feature may also not be as utilized in the game, as it primarily focuses on Lara's back story. The need for stealth and ample level of violence is of utmost necessity and not entirely for the trigger-happy and can be accomplished without having to kill any enemies.
It was recently reported that Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions are the only consoles confirmed to be rated. Rumored though, that it will not change for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions unless a DLC expansion will prove otherwise.
