Lenovo is sending OTA updates to its two smartphones such as A6000 and A6000 Plus. These two Android devices will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop from Android 4.4.4 Kitkat. The new software update will intend to fix mobile virus and enhance performance and stability of the mobile devices.
Gadgets NDTV stated that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be sent through OTA in which A6000 and A6000 Plus users can freely install such new OS version. The report added that the update will also be introduced in India. Some of its enhanced features will include new Material Design Theme, Multiple Account Support, New Interactive Notifications, and more. Android 5.0 also has the capability to fix bug.
On the other hand, IB Times posted considerations and the procedures once issue is encountered with the Android software update. Users should have enough battery life for up to 50% to be able to successfully perform update. It is also important to allow free memory for the device since the update can use up to 1092MB.
Moreover, if users have complaints with the rear camera, Google Play store, or Whatsapp upon installation, they can follow these steps: first, users must update all installed apps in the system. Second, sync all contacts in Google and then navigate to Settings, App Management and clear all the data and cache in the Dialler and Contact option. Then, sync contacts through Google account sync menu.
For general bug, related report said that users can switch off the device and restart it in recovery mode. Recovery mode can be set by pressing and holding the power and volume down button simultaneously. After which, navigate to wiper cache menu and select it to wipe out the system cache. Lastly, reboot the phone. In the event that general bug still exists, restart the device in recovery mode and choose the factory reset option and reboot the phone.
