The possible plot arcs for 'Transformers 5' is hinted at by voice actor Mark Ryan. He revealed that the upcoming sequel will contain not just one, but multiple major plot arcs - one of which would involve an impending battle between Optimus Prime and Unicron in space.
According to IGN, the next chapter in the live-action adaptation of the popular toy line of the same name may feature multiple stories as hinted at by Jetfire and Lockdown voice actor Mark Ryan. He revealed these during an interview in the Wings and Wheels convention in UK.
In another article by Comic Book Movie, two specific plot arcs have been mentioned. The first involves the reteaming of Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yeager with a group of Autobots and Dinobots as they aim to save planet Earth. The second rumored plot calls for Optimus Prime to travel into space in search of the Quintessons.
It may be in interesting possibility since Optimus Prime's journey would lead to a confrontation with one of the franchise's main antagonists, Unicron. The supervillain is the evil twin brother of Primus, the creator god of the Transformers. He is also known as the Lord of Chaos as well as the Planet Eater.
It remains unknown whether these speculations will ring through in the next couple of months or whether director Michael Bay will return to helm 'Transformers 5'. Movie Web reported that writer Akiva Goldsman is currently hard at work at creating the screenplay for the fifth installment in the franchise while Bay is focused on the debut of his latest action film '13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi'. Audiences may have to wait a little more before Bay confirms involvement for the upcoming project.
'Transformers 5' is an upcoming science-fiction action film set to be released some time in 2017. It will feature the return of Peter Cullen as the voice behind the iconic Optimus Prime. The fifth installment in the big-screen roster will be a follow-up to the preceding film 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' that starred Wahlberg as well as Ken Watanabe, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer and John DiMaggio among others.
