Paul Dini and Bruce Timm Talks About The Movie Adaptation Of Their Harley Quinn Creation; Ben Affleck Furious About His Kissing Scene With Margot Robbie

Bruce Timm and Paul Dini are loving Harley Quinn's costume design in the upcoming film "Suicide Squad." They also take notice of Jared Leto's costume for his character as the Joker. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck was reportedly furious for having to redo a kissing scene with Margot Robbie.

The movie version of Harley Quinn in the "Suicide Squad" has obviously left her creators excited at a certain point. Bruce Timm and Paul Dini collaborated in the creation of Harley Quinn. The Mary Sue quotes Paul Dini on his reaction of the design of Quinn in the film. "I know it's jarring to a lot of the people who love the classic Bruce Timm suit, I love it myself. But in that world [referring to the movie], I just don't see it happening. It's a rougher, more street look. I think it works fine." Bruce Timm, on the other hand, finds the costumes to be "pretty cute" and "interesting." Dini believes the outfit is just right for the film's artistic taste. They also did not fail to notice Joker's wardrobe as well and Paul even referred to Joker's outfit as a "decadent rock star."

An article from the Daily Mail shows Dini's comment about the pair of Harley Quinn and Joker in "Suicide Squad" as having a sort of Sid-and-Nancy look to it. If placed in a realistic environment, he felt that they will appear as "down-and-out-rockers" as well as "dangerous." The original idea for Quinn's character was meant for an animated series but her appearance in the movie is how she would really look in real life. Comparing the difference between the comic and movie version of "Suicide Squad," Dini said the film is not "hyper reality" but has a "real world look" to it.

On a different note, a report by Classicalite shows that Ben Affleck is said to be very upset for being called back to redo a kissing scene with Margot Robbie. Margot plays Harley Quinn in the movie while Ben does the role of Batman. Director David Ayers apparently wasn't happy with the result of this particular scene in "Suicide Squad" already done months before. A lack of passion on Ben's part was pointed out as the reason for reshooting the kissing scene.

"Suicide Squad" is scheduled to be shown in theaters on August 5, 2016.
