'X-Men Apocalypse' Updates: Quicksilver returns with an intriguing role; Oscar Isaac shares preparation for main villain role

The "X-Men Apocalypse" is set to premiere in theaters on May 27, 2016. The movie will show the return of Quicksilver and his probable relationship with Magneto being his father. In another light, Oscar Isaac shares his thoughts on his role as Apocalypse. The movie will have favorite characters returning to the film and will be introducing new faces as well.

Master Herald shares that a handful of the characters from the prequels will be shown as their younger versions in "X-Men Apocalypse." It will show their beginning and their reasons for joining. One of the previous characters that fans haven't seen in a while is Quicksilver. He will reportedly come back but will carry a more significant role. His story will be based on the original comic version and will also feature his sister, Scarlet Witch. In the film, Quicksilver discovers that Magneto is his father.

Additional reports for Quicksilver and Magneto is that there will be a lot bonding for the father and son. The former will be discovering new capabilities with his powers. However, he will be siding up with the good guys in the hope for redeeming his father. This is because Magneto's desire for greater power prompted him to join the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Apocalypse is the supposed god-like villain of the "X-Men Apocalypse", according to Parent Herald. Oscar Isaac will portray Apocalypse and admits that it was quite a challenge to play God. Historically, he is the most powerful villain the X-Men has ever encountered. Isaac says "With 'X-Men' it was great because there's an embodiment of such big ideas; you're not working in the realm of naturalism. And just because something's natural doesn't mean that it's interesting.." He also said that he enjoys pushing his performance in a kabuki kind of way and even used the word "fun."

The main plot of the movie is said to revolve around the awakening of an ancient and immortal mutant, Apocalypse, and his four horsemen. Fans have known that this super villain's main objective is worldwide destruction.

Christian Post reports that "X-Men Apocalypse" has signed up the new cast such as Oscar Issac, Olivia Munn, Lana Candor, Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, and Ty Sheridan. They will be joining the original cast like Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender. There are speculations that Colonel William Stryker, another nemesis from the past, will be around to give more problems for the X-Men.

Fans will surely flock to theaters on May 27, 2016 to watch the "X-Men Apocalypse." Oscar Isaac hopes to make an exemplary performance as he portrays the Apocalypse. Quicksilver teams up with the X-Men in his desire to bring redemption for the actions of his father, Magneto. There will be a lot in store for the film as new characters will be introduced and previous original characters will resurface to the delight of moviegoers and fans alike.
