AMD's Robert Hallock Says DX12 Titles Will Partner With the Company for 2015 to 2016; Is Microsoft Buying AMD?

By

AMD and Nvidia are considered to be going through a competitive slope as of the moment, along with the on-going clash of the consoles between Sony and Microsoft. As the said minor collision of these gaming world dynasties is inevitable, it is a matter of time before the hand of one is raised and is claimed the victor, as to who will rule the technical aspects of gaming.

According to Lazy Gamer, a somewhat intense battle is happening between AMD and Nvidia, in terms of who is the more dominant label to have their graphics cards used in multiple devices. With that, a declaration of confidence from AMD's Robert Hallock, Global Technical Marketing Director, has spread through social media at a massive rate, stirring up slight controversy but more on intrigue from the side of the consumers.

As reported by Tweaktown, Hallock claims that a vast majority of the titles which are currently using the DX12 will both be using and are yet to use AMD within 2015, all the way to 2016. The massive claim he gave was quoted, "You will find that the vast majority of DX12 titles in 2015/2016 are partnering with AMD. Mantle taught the development world how to work with a low-level API, the consoles use AMD and low-level APIs, and now those seeds are bearing fruit."

One more twist that could make the statement rather questionable at some angles would be fact that Microsoft was recently rumored to be eyeing on buying AMD. Given that the company is indeed as successful as Hallock states, especially in the sense of mass production with the use of its technology, the interest of Microsoft will definitely be hooked tight, as delivered by Gaming Bolt.

Regardless of the probable continued conflict that the companies may go through, one way or the other, remarks such as what AMD's Robert Hallock recently made could just be another blow that is meant to make a bang rather than a wound. In other words, AMD may not be using such words to bring the enemies down as some may think, but to perhaps be ahead of the competition even in the smallest way.
