Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are facing some legal drama about their two Yorkshire Terriers. Johnny Depp was subject to shoot Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in Australia. His wife Amber Heard went with him and brought along their dogs - Pistol and Boo; however, they do not have the legal permits needed to be brought along.
E! Online shared that this scene in April caused so much legal stir for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Johnny Depp therefore complied with Australia's Minister of Agriculture Barnaby Joyce's demand to have the dogs flown out of the country within 50 hours. The said minister expressed that the couple did not process legal requirements to bring in the dogs.
On the other hand, Johnny Depp's wife Amber Heard is still in the midst of the legal battle concerning biosecurity and illegal importation. The said legal actions were based on the Quarantine Act of 1908 and some apparent false documentation. Australia has a strict quarantine compliance to prevent diseases and other viruses.
The Daily Mail UK cited that Johnny Depp, in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, said that Barnaby Joyce threatened Amber Heard for some jail time. Amber Heard kept mum about the issue at first hand. Her husband strongly insists that they did not smuggle any dogs to Queensland, Australia.
The legal issues might be heavy as it seems but Johnny Depp is still able to spill some humor about it. He said in a very funny tone that there might be other things smuggled than dogs and the authorities might have missed that a bit, Entertainment Online shared.
The legal proceedings and court hearing with Amber Heard have been adjourned until November 2, 2015. The couple is hoping that this issue will come to an end and everyone will be enlightened that they never had any intention to smuggle anything.
