Conor McGregor compares himself to Floyd Mayweather: “Not even Floyd Mayweather had the numbers I have at 26”

Conor McGregor just recently answered questions about Floyd Mayweather. The Interim featherweight champion claimed that he's the big money fight in the Las Vegas-based fight promotion and produces better numbers than Floyd Mayweather did at his age.

According to MMA Weekly, UFC president Dana White made a bold statement that McGregor moves the needle. In turn, the fighter claimed that he makes better numbers than Floyd Mayweather. The Irishman stated, "At 26 years of age, I hold every record in the game."

"There is nobody in the history of combat sports who have done what I've done in the time that I've done it. Not even Floyd (Mayweather) had the numbers I have at 26 years of age," McGregor added. "I'm the money fight in the male (expletive) in all the weight divisions," McGregor backed up his statement during the UFC's "Go Big" press conference.

And now that Mayweather will have his final fight against Andre Berto, McGregor yet again answered questions about the undefeated champ. Although he didn't say anything as bold as his previous assertions, the MMA fighter confidently claimed that he's a better fighter than Mayweather.

"As far as them searching for stars since Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva, bring George and Anderson back," McGregor claimed in MMA Junkie. "You think they're on this level? You think they were 26 years of age with all these records, with these numbers? No they weren't. Not even Floyd was 26 with this record and these numbers."

The Irish fighter also went on to reveal that even though his PPV numbers haven't reached the undefeated champion's level as of yet, he is close to being tied with "Money" in terms of star power. He confidently claimed that he feels that he's about eye to eye in terms of star power with Floyd Mayweather. And stated that's a good thing for him since there's nobody ever claimed being eye to eye to the champion up till now.

In a report by Low Kick, despite the fact that the MMA champ is focusing more on his numbers than his titles, he does have some courageous plans for his future in the arena. The champion gallantly claimed that he will defeat Aldo in the main event of UFC 194. And after destroying Aldo, his plan is not to stick around at 145-pounds much longer.

Meanwhile, McGregor is set to face the featherweight champion Jose Aldo in a unification title bout at UFC 194 in Las Vegas on December 12. Allegedly McGregor is not in it for Titles and belts, as he always claim, he's main focus is to take home the money.
