Demi Lovato's "Cool For the Summer" lyrics allegedly talked about a lesbian fling, just like Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl". And just recently, she somewhat hinted on an interview that she may have had a previous attraction and relationship with another woman.
In a recent interview on Alan Carr: Chatty Man, the singer revealed about the sexuality issues of the lyrics of her new song, saying that she's "not confirming". People also claimed that she also admitted that she's "definitely not denying anything" that the song is, as Carr called it, " a song talking about lesbianism." The 23- year old bashfully claimed that art imitated life in this occurrence.
She hinted, "All my songs are based off of personal experiences," she said. "I don't think there's anything wrong with experimentation at all." When the openly gay host joked that he "experimented once and it stuck," Lovato claimed to the British talk show host that she didn't really say that she didn't stick to it either.
The performer also stated that the lyrics would be received differently if they were sand by an artist of the opposite sex, as reported by US Weekly. She suggested that if a guy sang her song who was straight, it would be such a chaos. But she also stressed how man has this different confidence when they say that they've experimented things with other men. They will not even bother or care. And she finds it more attractive than those men hiding their experiences.
However, this was not the first interview where the songstress' alleged bisexual past were revealed. According to Celebuzz, In 2013, "Orange Is the New Black" star Ruby Rose claimed that she romanced and "slept" with Lovato in her previous tweet about the singer. Amidst the issue, Lovato left no comments on her bisexuality.
Up to now, Lovato seemed to only has her eyes for one person which is her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. The pair started dating way back 2010. Nonetheless, she still admits that there's nothing wrong with experimentation. But she didn't exactly directly admitted being bisexual.
During the interview, Lovato also spoke about her racy cover for her new album, "Confident", which is set for a release in October. The photo shared Lovato in a pair of black lingerie. The singer stated that it had to be airbrushed because it would be too much revealing. She added, "It was a little scandalous. Let's just say it wasn't the most comfortable experience picking out the album cover with your manager."
