A winner is finally announced in the finale of 'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 12. The top 4 finalist performed a mind-blowing dance number to become this season's champion. Gaby Diaz is singled out as the twelfth season champion during Monday night. The tapper won the votes of the viewers and fans alike.
According to Reality TV World, Gaby Diaz was crowned the America's favorite dancer. Gaby is the very first tapper who won the title. She is a 19-year-old dancer from Miami, FL. As a reward, the winner will take home a $250,000 cash prize and a chance to dance in Jennifer Lopez's Las Vegas residency. Gaby won the hearts of the home viewers during the last 2 weeks of performance shows.
Moreover as mentioned on Gold Derby the top 4 finalists are Gaby Diaz, Hailee Payne, Virgil Gadson, and Jana "Jaja" Vankova. The top 4 talented dancers gave their all just to win the votes for one last time. Jaja Vankova topped as the 1st runner up beating Virgil Gadson from "Team Street". Each hopeful finalist are competing for the grand prize.
In addition E Online reports that, Gaby was the last member standing of "Team Stage" after Hailee Payne was eliminated from the competition. Gaby is the surviving performer of the Street vs. Stage format. She is also a part of "Team Stage" led by Travis Wall, who is a former-contestant-choreographer of the show. Other than that, Travis Wall won the 'Best Choreography' title for Emmy Awards.
The 2-hour live finale 'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 12 ended last Monday Sept. 14, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. on Fox. 'So You Think You Can Dance' is an American reality dance competition which is written and produced by Nigel Lythgoe and Simon Fuller.
