Kristen Stewart spoke about her very first love and how she went back to that time in her life for inspiration in her latest dramatic role in "Equals". Her latest interview heated up speculations suggested that she may be talking about her ex Robert Pattinson and their breakup two years ago.
Stewart portrays the role of a young woman who for mystical causes, is experiencing emotions for the very first time. In order to access her feelings, the actress went back to the first time she was ever in love. Many of her fans wondered whether that first love she was referring to is her her ex beau Robert Pattinson.
Moreover, Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult play their futuristic roles as subordinates who no longer feel emotions. But then, Stewart and Hoult's characters Nia and Silas begin to develop "Switched On Syndrome," in which they regain their suppressed feelings, such as love and sadness.
The actress revealed to E! News on the Toronto International Film Festival, "I definitely wear my heart on my sleeve. Sometimes that provides a little bit of a tougher road, but for me it's definitely more preferable."
She continued opening up her heartbreaks by saying, "Of course, accessing such a sensitive subject isn't easy, but per Kristen, it's the only way to get to a place of authenticity."The work that I'm most interested in, it always comes from a real place," she said. "You take every first you ever had, and you bottle it up in a moment and the devastating effect is something like anyone who has fallen in love at a young age has felt."
Stewart also recently discussed her "awakenings"; how portraying an emotionally suppressed role was "cathartic" for her, and how, heartbreaking it really is on The Daily Beast. She admitted, "It was incredibly painful. Ugh, f--king kill me." She also claimed that it's a really good timing for her and her co-star to make this dramatic movie.
Similarly, the actress told The Hollywood Reporter how she suppressed her emotions in line with her character. She admitted that she could relate to her character as she used to show that she's okay when she's actually having a bad day, having PMS, or just having enough of things. Stewart also added, "I know that feeling and that is so familiar to me to feel something so hard and have to go into work and say Good Morning, and not show emotions."
On the flip side of the issue, Stewart's longtime relationship with Robert Pattinson ended very publicly in 2014, seemed to finally move on with her alleged partner Alicia Cargile. Pattinson, on the other hand, is currently engaged with FK Twigs. Meanwhile, Stewart and Hoult's film "Equals" made its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival last week.
