God of War 4 is confirmed to be in development by Sony's Santa Monica Studio and will possibly get a release date in 2016 or 2017. The fourth installment in the game series is speculated to feature new God and Demons, more gore and bloodshed to give players a whole new level of gaming experience.
In the latest report of IGN surrounding the release of God of War 4, Sony's Santa Monica Studio is currently developing the upcoming title as confirmed by Creative Director Cory Barlog during a Q & A at a God of War retrospective at Sony's PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas.
Despite that Barlog kept the details under wraps and declined to give out more information on the new game, he also assured the fans that it will not be a prequel. The report claimed that it is very like that it could be the reboot that Sony's Scott Rohde hinted following a retrenchment that Sony's Santa Monica Studio succumbed to earlier in the year.
Moreover, Barlog also stated that he hopes to reveal additional release details in a span of one or a couple of years hence, he told IGN following the panel discussion. This could hint that the next iteration to GOW franchise is certainly on early stages of development. He was tight lipped, however, when asked further if series protagonist Kratos will be making his return.
Although, plot theories from fans have been rife online regarding the God of War 4 gameplay. For one, Kratos will meet his end and will lose to Thor in the final battle and others propose that the story will no longer surround Kratos but his character will become a non-playable antagonist who will be too hard to defeat, Kpop Starz noted.
God of War 4 will expectedly feature new gods and demons, more gore and bloodshed to bring gamers to a whole new level of gaming and mind blowing game experience.
On a fun note, Gamepur shared a trivia that fans would not have known about and that is God of War and Spongebob Squarepants TV series do have one common thing to share. Voice actor Clarence J Brown III who voiced the character of Hades was also the one voicing Mr. Krabs in Nickelodoen's popular animated show.
More details on God of War 4 release date are expected in the coming months and anticipated to hit PlayStation console within the next two years, possibly by 2016 or 2017.With Sony working hard on this title might actually be worth the wait.
