Avid fans who are waiting for highly anticipated JRPG, Persona 5, just received a bittersweet news back at recently concluded Tokyo Game Show 2015 as Atlus officially confirmed that the game will be released in Summer 2016. The game publisher, however, made it up to players with a tasteful sneak peek of what to expect from the game with brand new trailer, beautiful screenshots, and a host of exciting gameplay details.
Straight from Japan's TGS event earlier in the week, Atlus delivered the news of delay in the release date of Persona 5 from late 2015 to summer 2016 on PS4 and PS3 consoles, IGN wrote.
But the publisher also unveiled a host of impressive screenshots as well as newest gameplay trailer for fans to get a sneak peek on what to expect from the game. [Watch Video]
Moreover, Atlus has introduced the 4 characters featured in Persona 5 on its latest profile update. The main protagonist remains unnamed and will be joine by troublemaker Ryuji Sakamoto, the 1/4 american AnTakamaki, and cat-like creature Morgana.
According to the latest information found on the game's official site via Gematsu, the mysterious protagonist voiced by actor Jun Fukuyama is described as 16- year-old high school transferee and is the leader of the Phantom Thieves. He appears to be quiet and well-mannered on the outside but owns a peculiar alternate personality when in disguise.
An Takamaki, voiced by Nana Mizuki, on the other hand, is a 16-year-old 1/4 American girl who is a loner and makes less friends at Shujin High School because of her looks. She's also a subject of strange rumors that are to be proven yet.
Ryuji Sakamoto voiced by Mamoru Miyano is also 16 and known to be a problem student who brings troubles to teachers at school and the fourth member of the Phantom Thieves is cat-like creature, Morgana, voiced by Ikue Otani. Despite her true identity is unknown, she makes a striking resemblance to the black cat usually seen with the protagonist.
Persona 5 release date is now reslated Summer 2016 in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 and later on the same year for North America.
