Microsoft Surface Pro 4 to be launched in two variants running on Skylake Processor; October 6 release possible

The software giant Microsoft will unveil its Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and its latest Microsoft Lumia phones at a press event in New York. The tablet is expected to have 14-inch and 12-inch versions on October 6.

According to The Verge, all eyes are now on the Microsoft Company to yield its own hardware and showcase the replacement to the Surface Pro 3 after its disappointing Microsoft event that was held earlier this month at IFA in Germany. It is said that the two Lumia smartphones and Surface Pro 4 will be the main focus of the upcoming Microsoft's hardware event.

The site added that the Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 won't have an extreme change from its predecessor. Since the charging mechanism and complete form factor like for industries that have invested in accessories such as the docking station have been promised by the Company to keep it with the new Surface Pro 4. The device is also highly expected to feature the latest Skylake chips rather than Broadwell ones.

The Windows Hello is reported as one of the planned features to be included in the Surface Pro as well as the updated and advanced Surface keyboard and fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, a longer battery life is also being claimed to supply power for the Surface Pro 4 but with more calculating power that drains less power from the device. It is stated that the tablet may last all day if this has been fully charged, Latinos Post wrote.

The iris scanner feature is supposed to utilize infrared functionality scorched into the front camera; the process of unlocking it that could be done just by simply looking at the Surface Pro 4 may also speed up significantly.

Also, it is said that a likely RealSense 3D camera could enhance video calling. The tablet is also believed for equipping a new stylus, after an N-Trig was acquired by the Company. The Surface Pro 4 could have the same options as Surface Pro 3, since it is reported to have a starting 64GB and expanding to 128GB, 256GB and 500GB, reports Tech Radar.

In October, the Surface Pro 4 is speculated to be unveiling its 12-inch version that holds a price tag of $800. On the other hand, if the customer opts to buy the 14-inch version, then a $100-150 should be added.
