With so much on the line, Tom Clancy's The Division certainly has a sight on its back. The promise of a Ubisoft game hitting the top charts surely is rather high, and with that, gamers expect a heap load of awesome features to go with it. Will they be able to live up to the statement that they made, especially in terms of visuals that is rampant in today's gaming industry?
As reported by Design and Trend, the in-game graphics became quite intriguing on many levels, and a new video stabilized the fact that Ubisoft has surely done downgrading, drastic changes to its visuals. The difference in graphics targeted the environmental aspects, such as reflection, lighting, weather-related reactions, destructive aspects and so on.
According to Movie Pilot, Tom Clancy's The Division has split opinions for many fans of the franchise. They have come to various, and rather straight forward comments regarding the game's creation, putting aside the fact that the graphics are already good as they are, even after downgrading. Many fans give regard to the great plot, but gameplay is another matter in question.
Christian Post delivered that Tom Clancy's The Division are both good, and bad at the same time, for the fans. As the fans may be separated by different perspectives, most reviews are cut down the middle; especially that the characters are not given melee attacks in case the enemy gets too close. This particular concern has been brought up in numerous blogs, reviews and comments, and as of the moment, nothing has changed in connection to it.
Though there is no solid reason behind the downgrading of the in-game graphics as of the moment, but one speculation is the need to be compatible and be supported by lower-tier PC hardware, as well as current-game consoles.
The pressure has been applied on Tom Clancy's The Division as it is expected to be the same game that was seen around two years ago. With high-caliber games alongside it, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and the chart-topper The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the competition may not include the said title.
Tom Clancy's The Division launches for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 8, 2016.
